Posted: Mon May 22, 2006 1:05 pmHi shutterbug whilst I can see where people will like this image, to be totally honest it doesn't do a lot for me. It is arty, yes but I feel that it's a little too abstract, something missing in this for me. Maybe a tad more contast and some blurring on Dad to enhance and draw the viewer to the reflection of the bride on the wheel arch, I'm not sure. I will follow this thread with interest to see what other members think

I suggest burning back in the blown out sky and top of the car, and lightening those parts you wish to be focal points. Maybe a B&W conversion would also help.

I like the shot. The black border takes a little too much attention away. I thought you had cut the bride out of the shot altogether and only had the dad.

I see the concept, but I think for this image there is just too much going on. There are so many different reflections. I don't know about anyone else, but I find the rain drops on the front of the car also very distracting. This is not to say that if you just consider it a shot of the bridal car - it hasn't got merit. It could be a nice touch in a magazine album as a pale background or small inset to help tell the story of the bride's arrival.
