I like the first one, very olden day style happening there.

Nice work huynhie...

I know that first spot very well - there used to be a geocache hidden underneath that bandstand...

The lighting in the 2nd shot is great and it was taken from an unusual angle too... was there much PP done on the last shot?

Can I be critical? Who am I to have the right to be critical?
What the heck.
There seems to be a significant amount of black in these images. Particularly the first one.
The second one really works because you are down low, close to the pavement. The expression of light along the pavement from the right foreground and your eyes are tracked through the gap to the bridge. Without the people there, the photo would have possibly been boring / empty? This photo works. Still, take about a quarter off the top and a quarter off the right and you are left with a similar result, a lot less black.

The first one to me hasn't really worked.
Perhaps if you had moved a little to the left and a little closer, the bench seat would not have had the tree behind it. You could still have captured the view they are admiring but possibly missed out on the TV station in the background. The consequence would have been to miss out on some of the tree branches in the top of the photo but I think it would have worked. I see you may have been struggling with sun coming in on the lens with my suggestions as well, so your photo is fine the way it is too.

Just my 2 cents, feel free to ignore.

Thanks for the comment guys, much appreciated.

Leek the first shot was pretty tricky as I was in the shadow of the SOH so therefore I blew the highlights in the sky. I used the Nik graduated blue filter to replace the blue in the sky.

Yi-P the first photo was taken outside the Sydney Observatory

tasadam your quite welcome to be critical, the reason I used that angle was to also include the couple in the background on the bandstand. I have got to admit that the lefthand side of the first photo looks a tad dark although it's brighter on the full size version. :?

Here is the same shot but brightened up using the "Levels" adjustment layer in Photoshop.

Ok, so someone hides something and posts a hidden treasure map sort of thing?

Yes,

someone hides something and leaves a GPS co-ordinate for others to find, the next person takes the treasure and leaves an item in it's place for the next person.

I notice that Leek is involved on that site that I linked above. BTW Leek is that geocache still underneath the bandstand? It looks like a very interesting activity.

great shots, the opera house one is my pick of the two as you are lead into the photo and held there by the bridge
I posted this one earlier this week showing the view from the same band stand
