.... Nikon mirror manual focus, all the parrot shots have been opened in camera raw only with no other PP or sharpen, just as shot.......

I have a question - in the third shot, is this what is referred to as 'donut' bokeh?

.......'donut' bokeh...... this is why the 500mm mirror lens is called the donut lens....... happens when there are highlights or strong colours behind your subject.......

well done with the mirror lens.
I have a nikkor 1000mm fll mirror lens, makes me want to try it on some birds.
