The Golden Hour

Three shots using the 24-120 VR lens, taken at dusk from Darling Harbour looking towards Cockle Bay. The hour around sunset has the most fantastic light and these images show the amazing variability in the light at that time. The first two images were taken 3 minutes apart and the third was taken 14 minutes later.

Lovely colours Peter. Nicely composed and sharp as well. That last one, 1/20 sec, was that on a tripod or was it the VR working :?:

Cheers
John

Peter I don't know whether any one else noticed or not but you have a few stuck pixels on that new camera of yours. I suggest that you return it to Thanh.

Beautiful range of pastels and geometric shapes. Love it.

Out of interest, did you use any lens distortion correction during PP? The lines seem all pretty straight for a zoom.

Cheers
Steffen.

Yi-P - as said above  the shots were tripod mounted.

Steffen - For #3 I used DxO Optics Pro to correct lens distortion and vignetting. For #2 and #3 I applied the perspective correction tool in Photoshop CS2 to straighten the verticals. #1 is as is
