I was out at the beach this morning and a couple of pods of dolphins happened to swim past. All I had with me is the kit lens which wasn't long enough. In the end I ended up cropping about half the image to get a decent photo out of it. The dolphin in this reduced version is somewhat small, but there is more detail in the larger version.

I have a longer lens, but it is so soft that I never even use it. I'm saving up for an 80-400mm beast.
