we all do the iso 1600 thing, sure you can't salvage those images they may look quite arty
i like the stillness and composition of number 2.
followed by 3 i feel it's better than the last shot because the tone is much more muted and relays a cerain mood

I'm going to go totally against the grain and say that #2 & #4 are excellent
#1 would work if the sky was more interesting, the composition is good but there's not enough to hold interest.
Hope you had a great holiday despite stress-causing ISO1600

Sorry if I've mislead you, but these were ISO 200, the ISO 1600 shots I haven't been brave enough to post yet... they will need a LOT of work to save them ... unless I go for a noisey b&w look.

Craig. #2 is the standout. #3 and #4 are good, but would be better if you removed the rope.

2nd & 4th definitely Craig, you must have had a great time in Fiji. "Bula vinaka".
I mess up on the ISO all the time too, I just leave it on Auto now, except when photographing surfers which calls for changing ISO quite often.

I did have a great time, the people were so friendly and helpful, the ones I met really did have beautiful souls

How do you find using ISO Auto ? I have considered using it previously, but wasn't sure if it would cause just as many problems.

Hi Craig,
I'm glad to see you had a great time and made it back safe and sound. Sorry to hear about your ISO dilemmas - something we can all relate to I suspect.
As for these images, number 2 works far and away the best for me.

Hi Craig, hope you had a great trip! Going with the crowd, 2 & 4. I would have a go at cropping/cloning the edge (whatever that is) at the bottom of 2, to continue the smoothness of the water.

No.2 for me. Great work, Craig.

I luv the colours of #4, it just screams 'tropical paradise', which I hope was the case for you during the week.
