Little bird silhouette

Just wanted some opinions about these 2.
Both against the afternoon sun.
I quite like the colors. Not sure if it needs cropping. I realise the bird is right in the centre of the photo.
Any input appreciated.

I only see one photo, the other is missing, I really like the shot and exposure, I think if you were to crop it I'd place the bird in the far right third of the photo.

love the exposure and idea.... agree completely with Alpha_7, crop the first one with the bird in the right hand side of the frame.

First is a gorgeous image geoff. I also think cropping as suggested would enhance impact

It's amazing how much difference the little twist in the body makes - the first shot has so much more appeal than the second. I think the shot works even with the bird in the centre of the photo. The dark and light areas of the cloud creates a frame and enough off-centre balance to get away with breaking the rules.
