Got my replacement d50 after the original was stolen during an outing by someone unknown, whom I won't attempt to describe, but I'm sure you'll understand my feelings towards the individual.

Anyway, moving on to happier thoughts, here are some pix out of the new one which have improved my mood greatly. All taken with the kit lens.

John, that last shot is such an interesting image, the bright colours on the girls work well, combined with the interesting background angles of the bench, fence and chook shed roof, one is drawn into the image. Seems like it could have been a touch sharper.

I like the last one also. Your daughter (I assume) is a bit 'soft', but that appears to be a DOF issue, with the focal point being on your wife/partner/better half. Nice colours, which draw the eye to the pic.

And I agree, even photographers need luvin...

The second one is my pick. Love the colours and the mood.

The "softness" was due to 1/160 not being fast enough to stop the movement of fast moving females. Faster lens on the shopping list.

This is the preceding shot showing her just about to take off. Partner's waving hand is soft in this one.
