In many ways, apart from the Acropolis and other archeologically significant sites, Athens is an ugly city. Heavy traffic, perpetual smog, a sprawl of square, squat buildings.

But it does have the most beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed several of them during our stay there. Here is one (click for larger pic):

I prefer the original. I think the colours in the PP's one looked washed out, so you lose the intense colours your likely to be after. Thats just MHO of course.

I like the PP'ed v.

My vote goes for the PPed version.

First one for me as well. Good to see some detail of the city.

Ditto on first one for me too. City foreground detail tends to be alittle lost in PP'd version. Lovely atmospheric scene cricketfan:)

Lovely setting, prefer the second version (the orig?), I think the foreground in the first is too brightly lit for the sky...

Wonder whether this would suit a pano, with most of the top and just a little of the bottom cropped off?
