Common old weed, but backlit in the morning sun - I thought it took on a 'painterly' quality ... well, I liked it anyway

A simple subject but with really complex lines and shapes within it...

This works really well with the lighting...

Yi-P, not sure what it is called, just know it is a really nasty weed that hurts like bloody hell if you stand on it, or are trying to extract a lizard from beneath it.... will ask the 'father in law', he'll know.

Beautiful light Rel, well seen.

It reminds me of the California Thistles we have back home. Not sure if they are over here as well. Quite flat when young, and hurt like 'you know what' if you stand on 'em. Purple flowers.
