Johnd,
I've seen nothing difference with the shot on your D70 if you have one :?:

Oh birdy, it was only a test. I'd better come back to Sydney and make it sing with the ducks
Actually it's probably the kit lens that let me down. Better order a 28-70

I quite like it, John. Like the cloud reflections. Enjoy the new toy.

Love the reflection and the shape of the clouds.

The tall grass really adds something differnt to the picture.

Awesome shot John :)

Thanks guys. The reflections were just unreal yesterday for about 15 minutes. Then the lightest of breezes came up and the reflections were nothing.
I've got a lot to learn about the new toy. Hopefully I'll get out with it this coming long weekend.
One interesting side issue is that my wife, Alison, quite happilly grabbed the D70 yesterday and started shooting. Might have a new forum member in the wind.

Cheers
John

It looks bloody awful John. I'd recommend bringing it up to Sydney ASAP where I'd be happy to alleviate you of this cumbersome burden. :P

Lovely image btw.

Wow, what a fantastic reflection. Just goes to show that Hobart is the nicest place on Earth. :)

Beautiful image John. A majestic part of the world that I may just have to visit one of these days.

Thanks Andrew, Steve and Simon.
I'm gradually building up a portfolio of different moods of the Derwent, and this will be in the collection.

Tasmania has some lovely spots. Just a matter of getting round to seeing them all (with camera and the right conditions).
You really could spend a lifetime doing this photography stuff. BTW, thanks for the kind offer Andrew. If it turns out to be too burdonsome, I might just take you up.

Cheers
John
