Took a few shots on the weekend at my Dads in the Blue Mountains. Only a few because it was freezing cold and bloody windy.

#3 - I really like this one. Something about the colours and softness, yet the front leaf is still sharp enough to contain detail.

Nick

#1 is the standout for me, but all three are very good images. #2 is weakest. I think I'd have liked only 1 leaf.

OT - I'm thinking of detouring via the Blue Mountains on my way to Mudgee next Friday (rather than going west from Newcastle). I'd be there about 2 pm or so. Are shooting conditions that time of day in the area OK or crap (I'm hoping for mist/drizzle in the valleys and filtered sunlight). I see the BOM forecast is for occasional showers.

Thanks for the comments Peter.

Re shooting conditions: It really does depend on the day, and also where you go. Some days it'll be misty all day everywhere.
Generally, if it is misty at 2pm, it'll be misty everywhere, not just the valleys. Which probably means not much sunlight, filtered or not.
It was bloody cold over the weekend - make sure to take a warm waterproof jacket.

OT - are you going on the Stockton Sunset shoot?
