Hi Matt, I like the comp and look of the first one except it looks like lens flare or reflection near the bottom of the lampost
![]() ![]() ![]() Other than that nit pick I like the image and the warm feeling you have created with it.
Hi Matt,
What were you doing at those places at that time of the day? finding something "glow in the dark" ? ![]() ![]() Birddog114

Matt,
1 and 2 here are my picks. I can;t remember the name of the photographer who this style reminds me of but I like them very much. I wonder, have you tried them in black and white? Excellent work Matt Matt
rokkstar makes a good suggestion...a dutone may beinteresting...but then again I like the feel and look as is
All good images with #1 the standout.

Matt, these are pretty good.
#1 - I like the urban, yet isolated feel. Is the lamp post slightly off vertical? The image has this sort of European feel about it. Did you have a UV filter on? I've seen mulitcoat filters give a green flare on flipped axis like that before. #2 - not keen on the boot of what looks like a S40/S70 Volvo! #3 - the pick of the bunch here. Have you considered cloning out the blue Samsung sign - I've covered it with my thumb and it makes the decade of the image indeterminable ![]()

Matt. You constantly surprise me with the eye you have for shots like the first two. Both have a wonderful subtle tonality to them and have lots of texture and detail to draw the viewer in. The third one pales by comparision despite being a fine image (short version = I like #1 & #2 the best)

Matt,
I just love the first photo. Simple, elegant and captivating. The car in the second image is a distraction for me (it also irks me that it's parked in a bus zone, but that's just the pedantic driving instructor part of me coming out ![]() By the way, what lens did you use? I've only tried a small number of night shots so far, but mine seem to have a lot more ghosting and flare than these. Andrew
Ditto to what has been said already. The first one is by far the best due to it's simplicity and reflects a very old school feel to the photo. Love the style of it.

Come follow the rabbit hole...
I love that first image Matt... Almost perfect... A misty morning with a little more spotlight effect in the mist would have made it perfect, but we can't control the elements unfortunately...
Cheers, John
