Hi,
Here is one of the photos from Kiev, Ukraine. I'm not sure if it works but I like it.
C&C always required!

thoughtful composition
it looks grainy is it cropped from a larger picture?
grain is good though for b+W it's quite nostalgic

Thanks Wendell,
It hasn't been cropped - it's a film-scan. Though film was Kodak T-Max 100, which is relatively low-grain, I've got grainness puling out details from the shadows - light was very contrast

I quite like this shot Mikhail, it's quite stark at the base but then the eye is drawn up the shadow to the light, quite a powerful image.

It has a nice "old" feel to it. Seeing shadows in Kiev seems all wrong to me. When I was it was always dark.
I almost wonder if a tighter crop to remove the top of the building might give the picture a little bit more focus on the shadows.

I like the thought that went into composing this, wonder if you could get a smidge more info/detail in the brickwork???

Thanks a lot!
Mal,
I wouldn't crop it because I have to cut light post then or it will be too close to the edge and fighting for a space. To make your idea working well, I have to return there and re-frame
Andrew,
Technically, I have all the details in the bricks but I intentionally increased contrast for more dramatic look
