Hi,

Finally got a bit of time to do some PP.

spent some time at Hawks Nest last week and was able to get to Myall Lakes National Park. The sunset itself wasn't super colourful, no clouds, but the edge of the lake was nice.



D70s, Tokina 12-24 at 15mm, f10, 1/60s.

Let me know what you think, I have a portrait version, but thought this one worked best.

If i were to criticise it Andre I would say that the light is a little too warm. Sounds funny i know but it is so bright!

G'day mate,

I like the feeling of serenity and the calm water surface although it seems a bit "busy"? My eyes tend to go to the tree and then wander around looking for something to settle on... Maybe if the primary tree was more of an individual subject???

WB does seem a little warm, maybe cool it down a little?

Okay,

it does seem a bit too hot/yellow. I reduced the kelvins on this one, does look more natural. It was right at sunset, so there was a bit of a yellow tinge. Is this better?



Andrew, it does look a bit busy on the RH, probably need a bit of a different comp, there's always next time. Good thing it isn't too far from here

Definately looks more natural with a cooler WB...

Re: less busy, I'd love to see the angle and composition if you shot from low down, with the log in front of the tree (the one in the water in the bottom right hand corner) becoming a leading line, taking the viewer to the tree maybe? Might suit a portrait orientation...
