Hi Termy,
I have to be honest here and say that whilst this image is crisp and sharp it doesn't really appeal to me. Your little one looks like their squinting at the reflector - perhaps too much reflector in this shot? Be keen to see some more though ![]() Geoff

Great shot. Lighting is very good IMHO. No blown out white areas, nice even colour over the face. I take it you used a gold reflector?
The 50mm 1.8 sure gives nice sharp images, the eyes are really sharp, which is what you want in a portrait. Well done! 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

No not a gold one, but I warmed up the image a bit.

Nice shot but I think it is overly warm. Here's a version that I colour corrected in PS by clicking the middle eyedropper in the curves pallet on his tooth. If you'd like me to remove the image please let me know and I will do so.

I think colour wise I would go somewhere in between the two ..... unless his hair is naturally greenish.
Only thing I would like to see is a slightly squared crop - taking a little off the right of the image. Craig
Colour correction sure is a matter of personal taste.
I tend to favour a more warm image. Thanks for the input Matt. I don`t mind your version though I probably agree with Jordan on going the "middle ground". Thanks for commenting. Termy,

Nice picture, i like the angle.
I also thing somewhere in between the two would be a real winner. Jamie
