Was listening to the wireless (as we do out in the bush) and someone mentioned they could see a moon ring.

Took this with the kit lens and it just only just fits.

Just starting to show some banding. 5 sec @f3.5, 200iso.

Apparently this means it will rain tomorrow

Nicely captured, I don't think I've seen a ring that wide before, let us know if it rains tomorrow ;-)

We had a moon halo here in Melbourne on Thursday night.....still absolutely no sign of rain :roll:

(but we're in with a chance this evening!)
