i shot at hair expo this long weekend
it's like fashion week for the hair industry only 3 days though
but the sheer creativity that goes into the hair design and shows is amazing
image making potential was just endless

i shot these backstage where the light was absolutely gorgeous

85mm f1.4
1/80 f1.4 ISO800 custom white balance

Image

this one was shot at f2.8

now if Nikon only made a 17-80 f1.2 then that would be heaven

Great images and well captured.

#3 captures my attention the most out of these and I'm trying to work out why, maybe there is almost a wax works museum quality to the image.
A very interesting image IMHO, I like it a lot..

I have to say that in looking at these images I'm glad to be a bloke of 55 with short back n sides, low maintenance.

Wendel,

Great pics mate, excellent lighting, good looking women and nice staturation/contrast. Your usual quality. :)

Once again, having to photography beautiful women must be really tiring...

Perfect. Fantastic shots, and great lighting. The thing that stands out to me most is the tonality and colour balance. Awesome.

white balance from 3200 to 5600 k, somehow i got a little green tinge because of the mixture of irradescent and fluro lighting backstage

Again, great work Wendell.

As much as I love your "lit" images - your use of available light here is very effective and well controlled. Good work.

Wendell, these are excellent.
The lighting is so beautifully soft.
My favourite is the "caught in the act" number 3.

Your first image is truely beautiful as a portrait. It looks like the painting of a master. Well done! Get it printed and framed. It's images like this that keep me inspired to do better.
