The first drink

Taken at Wyndham Estate wine luncheon of a bunch of pre lunch drinkers. I have added some grain to this pic. I don’t know what others will think about this pic, but to me it had a ”Last supper” look to it - let me know your thoughts :)

hmmmm.....don't know Chris....what if you rendered into a B&W or a Duotone image with the grain as added :?:

I don't mind the grain on the foliage, but not too keen on it on the people.
I would also consider cropping the left hand side just past the lady looking at the camera, then you would only have one person looking at the camera, which would give you a point of interest.
Just my opinion though.

Sorry chris, i just keep going over to the right to try and work out who the guy there is talking to. It puts me off looking at the rest of the image. I think you could have done better with the framing - I've seen better from you.

Further explanation of what I think is 'wrong' with this picture...

( and given I know Chris, and am aware of some of the stuff he's capable of, I don't think he'll mind ;) )

1. The guy on the right - the person keeping his attention is not in the frame - this gives us the feeling we're missing out on something

2. The guys on the left - they're looking at the guy on the right - this brings the focus back to point 1

3. The 2 flower pots draw a line to... The guy on the right!

I think you get the picture ;)

Suggest a crop slightly to the left of 'the guy on the right', about where the white post in the background is. I think this would even the whole scene up a bit, and make the picture a bit more pleasing to the eye :)

the canopy of tree is great
some classic facial expreessions there

but i think the flower pots get in the way as well as that white pillar thing in the background apart from that

but i can see the potential in the image and why you took it

Chris
Let's see now....to my eye all of the energy in this image rests on the 2 guys gazing at left of pic. They are gazing at the women so my eye follows that line. She is gazing at me and I am lead to the center flowerpot. Everything else in the image plays no part....ie...fails to attract my interest. My eye does not travel there unless I force it to. Therefore they don't really need to be there. Does that make sense to you? Do others read the image dramatically different to the way I do? Love to hear some further comments.

Much stronger image. Seems more complete than the original.

The last revision is the strongest, to me it's 3 times stronge with the main focus being on the sexy dame.
