Very nicely done Big V.

The pick of the crop is # 1, composition and colour saturation.

Tony, very well done matey, i too like my furry friend like #1 as it gives it a sence of size as we know how big the silos are. Great colours as well and looks like a nice day there mate and glad to hear there was not too much ahh wind up there.
Cheers

Lovely stuff, I'm still hanging out to have a ride in one of these, especially with a camera in tow!

#1 as it has something for scale...the last is also good with the other balloons about to lift off...almost like a multiple exposure

Thanks all, Alpha we were told that it is around 200 dollars for a flight.. BBJ cant beat these for colours, some of the designers must have had photography in mind when chosing the colour selections!!!

Great shots Big V. Lovely colours against that rich blue sky.
In the first one I would be inclined to straighten up the silos, but that's just me being picky. BTW, you got a bunny about a third the way down (you can see it on #2, #4). #4 is probably my pick.

Cheers
John

Some really great shot in your collection. Where was this meet?? If you don't mind I will forward a link to your Smugmug gallery onto the ballooning federation and you might even score a front cover on the mag with one of those shots.

Steve, it was at Renmark but they launched form different spots depending on which way the wind was blowing.. Yes I noticed the dust bunny only after printing a few out... quick clean of the 80-400 lens will fix that.
Thought about the silos but I like the perspectice, lets you know it was shot wide angle..

One of the balloonist approached Marvin and myself about getting a copy of the shots of their balloon, they explained they had been doing it for years and did not have a single photo in their house of their balloon, always too busy at the start to take any. They now have the link to my page, so hope they are happy!

I've always wanted to take some shots of the ballons taking off, the colors are so striking and vibrant... I'd love to get up to Canberra for the baloon festival...

That last one is an absolute pearler!

Andrew, you cant beat them for diversity in colours and luckily the clouds from the two previous days had passes, giving that nice clean sky to use as a background. I was pleased when I saw the three balloons all lining in that last shot, had to move down the road a bit to get out of the way of a large tree on the left...

Big V,
Iforwarded a link to your Smugmug gallery on to the balloon federation magazine editor. Don't be suprised if you get an email requesting to use one as a cover shot.

Superb colours you've captured here!

1 then 4 then 2 then 3 is how i'd rank these.

You've done well to get in the right location for #4.

My vote is for the 1st and last images. Both with good composition and really great colour. I would have straightened the silos, but still a grabber.
Good stuff! :D
