Uni Black & WhitesI had to go to the library today (confounded essays), but at least I got a chance to take a few shots while I was at uni.

Macka - whilst I see the artistic nature of the first shot it doesn't do a lot for me. The 2nd one is, in my opinion a much stronger image. This is something that you could very realistically see on a UNSW brochure

No worries Geoff, thanks for the reply. I didn't mind the composition of the first but it didn't do a lot for me in plain old colour, hence my experimenting.

About 1/2 an hour on that version. I did an earlier one that I didn't like as much. Edit: I was kind of fiddling though! I like playing in photoshop, but it can be dangerous.
It's not all that difficult to do the selection and so on, what I meant was it's difficult to know when to do it, and to not end up with something just completely odd-looking. Cheers,

I like the composition of #1 but dont feel the colour adds anything. The lines, shadows and shapes are great though.....
I like teh composition of the 2nd photo as well. Love the tones and the contrast of the building pops out against the sky.
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
I like them both. They're nicely composed
![]() #1 is quite artistic in some ways #2 is nicely composed and love the contrast
Macka - I feel that if you had concentrated on photographing the person sitting on the seat you would have obtained a very nice candid.
Chris
