I took this picture last weekend as a part of a photoshoot for my car club but im not to sure if it looks real or not.
I have added motion blur to the picture except for the car. Did i pull it off or goof it up? BTW i shot everything at 800ISO, no wonder i couldnt get the effect in camera!

I like the way this one turned out though.

To have motion blur on a shot of a car that is behind you and approaching in convoy doesn't make sense visually (eg the following car should also be kinda in focus). It implies that your camera is also on a moving surface. In order to cheat you need to play WITH our senses eg a shot where the car is moving left to right or even more diagonally across the frame and the background blurred implies you are stationary and the car is moving. BTW the high ISO shows in both shots where there is quite a lot of noise in the darker areas (eg the fron bumper)

Doesn't look real to me, the motion blur doesn't seem to agree with the direction the car is going.

The motion blur on the lens flare is a nice touch. ;)
Actually, blurring an image like this is tricky: the angle and amount of blur will be different around the image (assuming the illusion of the camera travelling in another car ahead of the subject vehicle). The car in the background will have very little motion blur, the dashed line on the road will be blurred along the line, the cars on the right will be blurred horizontally, etc.
It's not objectionable, but it doesn't look real to me.

The 800ISO noise (especially in the 2nd one) is quite noticeable BTW.

Thanks for the replies!

I never even thought about the car in the background to be honest. Now the more i look at it the more it doesnt look real, kind of makes me wish i never asked the question.

Noise - umm ok, i dont know what im really looking for when it come to noise in images unless its really obvious.
I ran all the images through noise ninja in auto mode (first time ive used it) and thought that all the noise was gone. You sure its not just the metalic paint thats making it look like there is noise there?

I really need lessons in PP'ing!
