Here are some of the more interesting sights from my trip to Europe last year, specifically from Germany this time. I'll be interested in your reactions, which images you think are strong etc.

The first three were taken in the English Gardens in Munich:

I have linked the next smaller thumbnail to a smaller image due to its graphic content, click again for full size!

Any and all comments welcome, a bit of a departure from my usual stuff. :)

A nudebathing park where 'ball sports' are not permitted (according to the sign)

I think i spy some gents disobeying that rule :)

The castle IR is nice. I would like to see some other shots of it as well as it looks quite a photogenic subject.

 LOL Steve! :)

Here are some more of Neuschwanstein castle for your enjoyment. Unfortunately it was a pretty crappy day, but at least it stopped raining enough for me to get up the top, take pics, see the castle and come back down for a hearty German dinner washed down rather appropriately with a König Ludwig Dunkel. :)

Hopefully this doesn't break the new rule about 4 images per post, if it does please PM me and I'll make a new Neuscwanstein castle thread. Again C&C much appreciated!

I was there about 2wks ago ... almost identical weather.

Did you climb up the hill beside the bridge for a better view ... we went up there ... scary  Still editing my shots.

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

Wendell: yes. Inside was incredible, well worth the price of admission! Unfortunately you weren't allowed to take photos inside for some reason so no interior shots, but if you ever get a chance to go I'd recommend it! Gold everywhere in the "Throne Room". :) LOL Dion, these were from August last year, you're a bit quicker on the PP than me! I crossed over the bridge (the IR shot was taken from the far side of the bridge) but didn't go any further as it was very wet and I only had 15 mins until my tour started.

the sign says:

Liegewiese fuer Nacktbader:

the lawn for nude bathing people.

Nude swimming is permitted within the perimeter of the "Reitbahnwiese" (the "horse rider meadow ...").

Take caution with horse riders.

Soccer and other games involving balls are not allowed.

Dogs are to be kept on a leash !

#2 and #3 make a great set, the boy's expression is priceless

I love the castle in infra-red, and #3 in your 2nd post with the fog is gorgeous, crappy weather or not. The fog suits the fairy-tale appearance nicely.
So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all!

The IR castle shot is eerie. Almost Transylvanian...
