G'day all,

I went to Brisbane Forest Park after work yesterday to chill out and take some portraits of a Green Tree frog. Took this shot while I was at it, just for fun.

Used a D100, Nikon 105mm 2.8 macro, 24mm extension tube, SB 29 macro flash. Settings were ISO 200, f22 and 125th sec. No cropping.

I'm curious what you may think of this one.

Beautiful shot and good idea to get "so close"... Frame it a bit tighter and it would be hard to know it's a frog! It's amazing how its retina is absolutely dark, it contrasts nicely with the eye and skin colour.

Very nice of Mr Frog to sit still for you like that :)

Great DOF and very sharp, composition works for me. The only thing I'd change is to add a bit of 'oomph' in PP, bring out the gold in the eye and green skin. Other than that, great shot.

Byrt - thanks

Patrick - shall muck around with PP and try and bring green and gold out a bit.

Speaking of green and gold, maybe this guy could be a mascot for tomorrow mornings World cup match between the Aussies and Brazil! :P

Cheers
