Paul,
Once again, you're showing off some nice seascape photos in the early hour, great works as usual.
Yes, the 17-35 AF-S is the one bringing loves + joys to my photography hobby.

that first shot is awesome!
love the look of the sky, and the smoothness of the water
the second doesnt do as much for me, i think because there isnt as much colour.

Thanks NJ...always interesting what a different set of eyes may prefer....I actually liked the second more :D

Thanh...17-35 2.8 is a great lens...I think I'll swap mine with Glamy and see if he notices

very nice Paul
I like the colors of the first one, I had the option of going in this direction with my shot but for the competition warmer colors tend to do better

I'm like you in preferring the second one... mainly for the great lines that lead you through the photo in a zigzag path yet still keeps you in the shot
you can really see the grad ND filter effect... but I'm not sure that it is not over done with the light reflecting on the sand being brighter than the sky where the light is coming from... but I'm probably nit picking now :)

can you let us know what the camera setting were for these

thanks

Very nicely done... I'm another that seems to enjoy the second image more, I think because of the lines that take me through the image, although I love the soft misty water around the rocks in the first... Images seem really nice and sharp with great color too...

Very nice Paul! I dare not post any of mine   . At least I won't be able to blame the lens for blurred photos.

Why do you say "it looks like a painting" ? One of my pet peeves is people comparing photography to painting. It is a painting, Photography means "painting with light".

Often photography requires much more skill and dedication to produce a great image.

Sorry to rant but It's a photograph and a good one too! :D :D :D :D

cheers doug :D :D :D :D

Wow!! funny how I have all these responses a couple days later!

Glamy-you can blame me  since I was using your 17-35...next time you use your 17-35 and I'll stay with my old "trusty" 18-35

Birddog-are you planning on having a Friday special for the 17-35 for sy $100 :?: :?:
