
this guy buzzed us as we were packing up so there isnt any fill flash underneath. but I still kinda like it (mainly because this is the first time I have seen an osprey.

it's still a nice photo steve. one of these took a fish out of the river a couple of hundred mtrs away from where i take my sunrise photos the other day.of course i didn't have my 300mm lens on.

fozzie, the lens was the 80-400vr @ 400, handheld as I had just packed everything away and quickly got the cam out again.

Yes it would be nice to have a 600mm f/4. May be I can lose a tooth tonight, and the fairy will bring me a 600mm f/4 or if that is too much a 300VR f/2.8. I have the TC-14EII and TC-17EII plus the crop factor on the D2x ![]() May be next time I am in Sydney we could link up and capture the breeding pair ![]()

andrew, it's the talons on the end of the feet you have to worry about although I wouldnt be that happy about being on the receiving end of either
