Great atmosphere to that first shot!
Fantastic subdued lighting.
I probably would have tried to position the Kayaker on the right third of the photo but by doing this you would have lost some of the wake....

Great ambience to these, I'd be tempted to clone out the figures on the beach in the first image... The portrait orientation shot seems to catch my eye more, more of a lone figure enjoying the scene sort of thing I think... Beautiful light...
The brightness of the kayaker seems to make him just about jump off the image too...

Love the first one, its just gorgeous, I love the ripples in the water and the colour in the sky.

Thanks for everyones positive comments.
I was only going to try and capture some of the clouds and reflections on the lake, when fortuitously this kayaker comes along. So thanks also to the anonymous kayaker.
