G'day all,

Was just playing with some images from NZ a few months ago, thought they'd make good subjects for B&W so thought I'd have a play and see what you thought... Amazing location, the entire beach is chock full of these old rotting stumps, fantastic subjects...

Appreciate any C&C, good and bad :)

Cheers

Beautiful images Mudder, as usual. I like the first one the best, nice contrasting textures with the stumps and the stones.

Not too fond of the grain in the last though.

Again, really great photos.

Like Owen I prefer the 1st one. :D The B&W treatment certainly does work here.

Very nice Andrew.

I prefer the composition of the 1st. I was wondering how they may have looked wtih a shallower DOF.

For me, #2 is the pick.

The alignment of the two drift stumps forms a line that draws you to the centre, and the awesome clouds at the top also draw you into the same point.

wow the first 2 are great

but

if i have to choose i will prefer 2, becuase of the composition as well the stones's tones. also the blur (movement) of the clouds.

thanks for sharing

Excellent b&w images mate. For me #1 works the best. Love the high contrast scene. Each rock looks like its been individually laid down. The sky is amazing.
