The colours look oversaturated on my monitor.

Like both the shots but I am a bit perplexed about the 2nd on. It seems a bit high in the sky i.e. above cloud to be gear down. Did you place the plane onto a different background??

Nice plane shots, I usually don't like them (plane shots), but these are crisp and colourful (the first set might over been a bit over saturated).

great shots. really like the first one, seems to work well with the background of the cranes + the clouds. well done

I actually really like the colouring of the second shot as first posted. It has a very nice quality to it.

Love shots of planes, and these two are very good I reckon.

Love the first version of the second one. At first I thought you were in another plane then realised you just changed teh composition :D

The "cloud" is prolly fog..Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney airports have been suffering thick fog recently. Otherwise it could just be the pilots were cracking their first beers for the flight as they took off and forgot to put the wheels up?

Thanks for all the comments.

The plane took off from runway 16R in SYD airport, that is heading straight out into the ocean.

The first shot, was taken just fraction of second after lift-off.

Second one is just about 2 sec behind. Because of the nice cloud covers from the far background, I raised the frame to not include the sea/horizon and its bit hard to follow an object moving at 200knots (380km/hr).

That second pic, it is probabbly about 200feets above sea level and notice the gears are slightly slanted towards the middle, the nose gear wheel base doors are open (compare to closed doors/gear down at 1st shot). Actual scene is just moment of gear up transition :D
