Rel - delightful - however I think the 2nd one is much better. The first one doesn't do it for me at all sorry - too wishy washy (pardon the pun :) ) . I'd like to see some more contrast in the 2nd one too.

Works for me Rel.
I like the bubbles in the first and the expression in the second, can you combine them? :)

rel,

I think the 2nd is outstanding.

the high key lighting works well for both,

the first needs some eye contact which the second more than makes up for.

Well done

Steve

#2 is great. Would look nice in a dark frame.

These two shots are superb - high keylight photographs of this nature should be printed and framed. If I was to be picky at all I would clone out the taps - they add nothing to the beautiful child.

very sophisticated image making Rel!

I actually prefer the first. Crop - not clone - the taps out, and this is a winner.

I prefer the 2nd one, but I agree with Gary, remove the taps and the first is stronger in my book. I guess we can be thankful it was pics of your hubby in the bath :P you haven't convinced him to do any more "photography in the nude" after the last outing ?

I like the first one too. :)

It reminds me of one of my cousin (when he was younger) drinking bath tub water.

Rel that second one is fantastic...I am going against the trend and say i like with the taps!

A silly question on my part but how are these "high key" photos accomplished?

Very interesting shot's Rel.

For some reason I prefer the first photo the best.

Rel,

Love both of them.
I think the 1st shot needs to see an outline ( of colour, just slightly ) of the childs back to remove it from the background. I'd leave the taps in.

Cheers,

 Wow - honestly didn't expect this much feedback :) But thank you so much for all of your comments (and I bet you are all really glad it wasn't Damo and his hairy ass again ;) )

This bathroom (like a lot of bathrooms) is predominantly white, so the light from a flash just bounces around beautifully !! Daniel was having a ball in the bath, so was happy to have his aunty taking shots. These were taken with my old Tamron 28-300 3.5-6.3 at 28mm, with f7 (first) and f10 for the second, and 1/200 for both. I was using the SB600 with beer cup and cap, pointed at the ceiling and upped to +2 for a really white result. A little tweaking in PS, and that was it.

Hope this made sense?

Hugs again
Rel
