Thanks Bernie :) It was my nephews first birthday - with all of the kids, I take a shot of the sunrise on their first birthday ... well, didn't get a sunrise :( But his mum liked these shots, so hopefully he will too when he 'grows up' a bit ;)

#2 is a master - nothing on earth can give the beautiful fading colours of a good mist or fog - excellent.

Beautiful shots Rel. :D The subtle tones of the 2nd in particular are very appealing.

#1 I like but would think if some of the sky was cropped would make for a better overall picture

#2 love the fog and love the muted colors from the fog :!:

colour in the first one is nice. the second one is a bit underexposed and the flaring doens't add much to the pic.

Rel,

I like the first, but agree with LostDingo something needs to happen at the top. Cropping might work but it could destroy the perspective :?

Maybe a darken the sky just slightly so it's a little less dominant - a basic lasso selection curved around the top left, feathered selection 150px, brightness -30. And removed the dust bunny top right :D
The edit has banded up a bit from working of the web JPEG :(

Thanks Piro & Daniel.

Daniel - I agree, and I like what you've done.... I'll have to go back and have a bit of a tweak :) Thanks

Hi Narelle,

Both shots are very appealling but the second one is my fave. Great to be able to capture the mood of the scene so well.

Excellent stuff

Cheers

Love them both Rel,

I've been wanting fog, but whenever I go for my sunrise, it's nice and clear.

#2 would be my favourite if I had to chose one.

No wonder his Mom likes these 8) 8)

Cheers,

André

There have been some great foggy picture oppertunities lately.

Very nice shots. I love the soft look of fog shots.
