I apologise for the noise (my eval copy of Noise Ninja expired). I like these shots and have a personal favourite, just wonder which version others prefer.

The first is my favourite, all shot with the 80-200 @ 2.8 with ISO 800.

Yep number one for me too. Like it a lot.

Cool shots, Craig. #3 is my favourite. Nice and simple.

Craig - noise isn't a major drama here, in my opinion. The slight graininess adds to the experience. I'd have to agree with Macka here and say #3 is the pick. "Simple", as Macka says, is the real attraction of this particular shot. The composition is very pleasing to the eye without competing subjects, as in the first shot.

Number #3 got 2 votes in our household, and simple sums it up nicely.

Great shots Craig... #1 would have my vote - just a pity that you weren't 1cm to the right ...

I really like number 1 because it gives the photo a 'sense of place'..... hope that makes sense?

Sorry... I should have expressed myself better... I meant 1cm to the right in relation to the print as it displayed on the screen... then you would have had slightly less space on the left and probably would have included the whole mast that holds up the wheel...

I like #1. To me it's not cliched. If it was lit up it would be. Looks kind of desolate.

NUmber 3 for me Craig.

The bright spot on the right is distracting to me, and I prefer the wider angle on 3 to 2.

I like all of them Craig. Technically fine images and a great subject.

Another nice set, Craig. As for noise, try this trick - gaussian blur (something between 3 and 5 until noise is blurred), then menu "Edit->Fade Gaussian Blur". In the appeared dialog window leave 100% and select Mode->Color. This will discolourise noise making it less distracting and looking somehow like a film grains

Great shots Craig, and for me the pick is no1. Noise is not an issue here.

Great set of images Craig. Your photography is getting better and better. #2 & #3 are my faves.

I would agree with you, the first is my favorite. The third is a close second though. I really like the framing of the wheel and the carriages. Nice and clean.

number two is just a bit to close of a shot for my preference.

Can't give you a reason but #3 for me appeals most.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! For me photographically sunset was the best part of the Micro Meet when I felt the most inspired and my shots are significantly better during this period.

#1 for me too Craig. I think the noise adds to the pic and doesn't detract from it.
