Hello all

I don't normally take this kind of shot, because I only ever see interesting and usual in someone else’s photo's never in real life and through my viewfinder.

Can you please tell me if this is indeed worthy of a photo, have I seen something that you guys would consider taking a picture of?

What I liked was the idea of Sunrise, that start of something new and fresh yet the door and the sign show quite the opposite - old, run down and at the end of its days.

I have (as I'm sure you see!) done a little PP; I hope this is added to the picture.

Thanks for any thoughts you can offer,

CC

Charlie,

It's a great sign, and there's great colours and wonderful decay evident in this image, but I think you've cropped a little too tightly.

Apart from the decay on the sign and door, there's also further decay evident on the wrought iron above the door, and the sign to the left of the door.

And it's that sign that is problematic for me. It should either be cropped out completely, or the image should have been pulled back to fully include it. I suspect the latter.

Bugger - this is the image (crop wise) straight from the camera, so there is only one way to go...

Would you say this is an improvement?

CC PS Sorry for the double post.

I love the purple colour, contrasted with the decay goes well for me.

I like the textures, concrete, wrought iron, timber, plaster/render, paint. Nicely captured.

Agree with the cropping, in or out. The fence in the top right corner catches my eye also, away from the subject of the door...

thanks for sharing

The colours and decay are great, but I agree with Gary unforunately the crop is tighter then I'd like. Is the place abandon or is it still a place of business ? (perhaps no longer bikes?)
