We actually more then once commented we might bump into you at the Quay Shelia but I think we were there a bit earlier and later then you would of been. Another find candid however this ones a little disturbing has he's got no head at all just a hat. Where you using the Zigview ?
I'm the one with the blue Crumpler bag should you be at the Quay again. No, the Zigview was not necessary as he was looking down and I was just about to pass him. Cheers Sheila Sheila Smart

I love the quay, definitely my favourite place for Candids, but unless I get another day off I won't be back for some time. Yesterday was good as we had the pack mentality, security in numbers which makes you a little bolder then usual.
I actually like the contrast of the two hands, while still maintaining the detail of the skin. Great exposure!
I like the anonymity, and the shades flowing over the jacket, and hat! thank you!
Here's another from the same "shoot" with more emphasis on the hands

I've gotta say that I don't like either's cropping as I find both are too closely hugged and in the first one, I feel there should be more detail in the shadows of his clothing.

I much prefer the second image, but am finding it hard to articulate why. In the first, the highlights are too harsh - I guess it is the contrast that is worrying me.

Just what do you think you're doing Dave?
Is saw the first shot and it did nothing for me. Now the second one is much better. The hands having the same contrast seems to be the win.
Sorry I know nothing about B & W photography. D50 - AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G ED
They have 2 sites and it has to replicate. Wow that prob makes no sense to non computer speak ppl. Basically they have to web sites and your image has to get copied across from one to the other and it takes time then it should stick.... D50 - AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G ED
