I had a play with this shot I took last weekend to try and give it a bit of a dark look.... did it work or should I try something different ?

I really like it Keith - only thing I find distracting is the rock behind the truck -the highlights are drawing my eye to it ...
but even so, it works for me

Keith, I think that's a lot better. In the first version the rock almost looked like a waterfall, trying to splash over the truck...
I like the tones, and the combination of faded green and rust colour. And, of course, the story it tells.
Cheers
Steffen.

Great image Keith. Darkening the rock has really improved the image by taking a distracting element out.

Keith, i like it and is better seeing it here on rocks than have it over grown with grass, and well i think the dark look suits this picture well done.

Very nice image this one. If you darkened it more and added some blue, you would even think it was moonlight.
I like the old rustbuckets (As subjects, that is)
Thanks

Great shot Firsty. I too like #2.
Where is the location of this old girl? Or is it a secret

it is very easy to find, thousands of people drive past it every day as it is on a four lane main road
outside "Australian Native Landscapes" depot on Monavale road Terry Hills
it is part of a man made display

The truck is excellent but the background is annoying. I'd be tempted to select the truck and place it into a field of wheat or something. To me it's crying out for an expansive background with rolling blue skys.
