While we were having lunch at Watson's Bay I couldn't take my eyes away from this guy he had such a great face and I had to sneak a few shots off, not sure he noticed or not but he was happily enjoying the sun.

#1 Not quiet as expressive.

#2 This was my favourite expression the more subtle version

#3 And this one I've tried to use the burn tool for the first time, I think maybe too much ?

Yes, the third one, for sure. Nice expression in the face and pose.

The diff between #2 and #3 isn't that big unless viewed under CM. For some reason the images are tagged for a printer specific colour space (dot gain - more a b/w response curve than a colour space really).

Cheers
Steffen.

Oops, should I be converting to sRGB ? After the Channel Mixing ? I'm new to this version of B&W conversion.

I like them Alpha - and the expression in the last is perfect - pensive almost. Couple of hot spots ( not that I should talk), but other than that -

Man, he has some wicked nails huh?

Yeah #3 Alpha. Love the high contrast, pose and the fact we can see his eye detail. A great candid

Craig, #3 is a great image. BTW, I can't see your avatar. Don't know if it's my browser/firewall at work or not.
Cheers

I actually like the 1st shot best, to me it seems more natural unlike the other 2 where it looks like he has just discovered that he has a bowel blockage. just my opinion :D

I think I prefer #3. It brings out the subject matter more IMHO.
#1 may have been taken after the blockage had cleared
