Ascent of man

Sometimes you just know you have a great image before you get the camera to your eye. These three (and especially the first one) fell into that category. These wonderful sculptural works are at Taronga Zoo. They were a little hard to shoot since I didn't use flash and they were in a quite dark area. All three were shot hand held, using the 70-200 VR 1/60 sec at F8. The D2x ability to handle shots like this really shows too IMHO. The tonal range is superbly captured. Anyways, here are the shots.
