I got up pretty early this morning along with forum member Wocka, took a few sunrise shots at North Narrabeen beach. Here's one that I was pretty happy with. It would have been better if there was no wind, however what can you do? Comments welcomed:

This is a perfect, sublime image just as is. Clouds would probably have weakened the shot since they'd have dragged the eye away from the strong central focus.

Great shot Geoff. Interesting use of DOF. The only neg is that maybe its over exposed in the back there above the horizon?

Thanks Adam - yep, probably a little over exposed in the back left corner. I didn't even notice until you so aptly pointed it out. Cheers.

Geoff - crop the bottom up to the boardwalk, I keep stumbling on the step
Worth getting up early

wonderful shot, but I agree with Chris - just a very slight crop would make a great shot even better
