this weekend I have been given multiple tasks around the house I must complete( "honey do's")...this meant no ability to go out and take early morning photos.

I wake early anyway and while walking the dog notice in the semi darkness the cloud cover and though "geez I wish I could go a take a seascape" but this was not in the cards.

I did notice when returning home though there was no milk :idea:

Now how can I make my better half morning tea without milk :twisted:

So I advised "honey...off to get milk" :idea:

and just so happened I took my D2xs, a wide angle lens and tripod :twisted:

This is my result from my early morning milk run

Now I know this contains ”the bridge” but this shot is so different from the norm with the interest in the foreground - a very nice shot.

That's one of the spot among other spots in Balmain, I recommended to have the sunrise shooting at Balmain, then walk back onto Darling St to have a nice cup of cappucino.

That why few of new born babies in that area with their faces look similar to the local milk man :shock:

Maybe not up here in the sticks, but in the city there's more 24hr convenience stores than there are Starbucks! :shock:

I normally don't comment on the soh and bridge pictures, but this one has a great atmosphere. Nice shot. I do find the foreground a little distracting, possibly because of the orange glow contrasting with the nice colours in the sky.

Wish i could see site like this on the way to get milk, then i am not a early morning person unless i have to work so yeh good pic well done shows you that us blokes can multitask.

Newsagent closest to me has milk and is open at 5 a.m.

I met him yesterday and he said: he's going to get it very soon.

Mine is on its way, replaces the "ageing D2h".

and a 70-200VRs......the picture in this thread was taken with a Nikon 12-24 DXs borrowed from Birdy for a test drive...or milk run so to speak

And very soon the D200s will replace the "ageing D100".

The D100 is still on Tour Of Duty in the past 4 months.

VERY NICE INDEED!

A briefcase carrying commuter in the tunnel would have added a little cream to the milk. Great stuff this one, with everything going for it.
You guys are really forcing me to rethink my starting times!
