This set of significant portraits of two young rising stars in the modelling world, Tallulah Morton and Samantha Harris(1st native Australian pro model)

For the first time i just can't decide which one is the one

these were taken on the 28-70 at f4.5, 1/250, colour balance custom
sb800 snooted with 3 pieces of black card, on the sc-29

samantha's expression ain't too good here, i like it this image because of Tallalah's strip of hair


this one is better, but i lost the strip of tallulah's hair


the landscape somewhat bothers me because the chopped of the forehead too much, but i was aiming for that sort of tight framing. However the lighting on this one i am happy with


this one, only thing that concerns me is that Samantha's face is cropped out
to me the composition is unconventional, but i'm undecided if it actually takes away from Samantha or it contributes to the overall image.

Good composition with these but the lighting is too severe and gets in the way. I find it distracting. Softer lighting would have made these images far more appealing. This is just a personal opinion and others might disagree.

I also feel the lighting is too strong particularly so on the lhs model with her lighter colour skin and possibly makeup.

The lighting here does seem different to your normal style. Don't you usually use 2 pieces of cardboard as a snoot? Why 3 for this series?
The harsh side lighting is your style, however in this the nose shadows seem to be very pronounced.

I find the expression in the first a bit petulant and distracting.
My pick is the landscape with the chopped forehead. The chopping looks fine and both girls have a similar amount of head tilt in all dimensions. I think this symmetry makes it work.

lighted frotm he side

the landscape one is good but the slight tilt on the head bothers the symetry

used 3 pieces so i could get a variation in the light, as you can see the light falloff isn't even it's more interesting in this case

otherwise 2 piece either side of the flash head would of just narowed the light
