Morning all,
As most people know, I love photographing motorsport. If it has a motor I consider it sport.
Here are a couple of shots from the weekend.
Nino here operates a motor repair business across the road from my place, he was giving the thumbs up and it was only the warmup lap.
Here are the obligitory "Flame shots"
This guy rounded the last corner just a little too hot, pitty photos don't have sound with them, the noise was intense.
The remainder of the shots I have posted so far can be seen in my gallery.

Nice shots mate. What lens you using? You should offer your services to the guy giving you the thumbs up, it will help get you media accred if you are a 'team' photographer.
Shot 3 would be my favourite, nice afternoon sun, you can see detail in the vehicle and you got some flame. well done.

Thanks for the comments, you read my mind, I will be taking the following version of the shot over to him this afternoon. It was a B***H of a day weather wise, nothing but blaring sun (mind you only got to twelve degrees).
Forgot to mention I was using the Sigma 50-500mm
Cheers

Nice shots,I like No4 as its always hard to catch the action .You can watch a section of track all day and as soon as you look away an incident happens.

So very true Jeff,
I was over the back of the track for about an hour or so and as soon as I ventured to the opposite side there was a spectacular roll over (no injuries thank goodness) in front of where I was standing. But thats the luck in Motorsport photography (probably why I keep go back).
Thanks for the comments.
Cheers

Anyhow it is a month early this year and well could be wet so see what happens.

Dave, once again you have shown that your combo of the 30D and the bigma are more than capable of producing great results..love the flame shots. Will you be comming to clipsal next year?

Mate, thanks for the comments, I keep pushing this combo and repeatedly get pleasing resuts. As for Clipsal next year, already starting work on that one. I have some unfinished photos from that event (read more time spent in the paddock behind the pits).
