its been photographed a couple of times before.
i'll try not to bore you with the 9000+ pics i've just finished transfering from a usb1.1 device to my pc. I may have to get picky when i choose which ones to print, but this one is going on canvas.

Simon,
gorgeous shot of the Eiffel tower. Certainly worth framing. Just a little niggle, for me anyway, is the jet trail going through the top. If you print it big on canvas, it may look even more obvious, you may want to clone it out.
Looking forward to the 8999 others
thanks,
André

wonderful picture, of a magnificent building.
Interestingly, I found out that any pictures of the Eiffel tower at night are copyrighted to the tower, or paris, or something. But that might be hearsay.
Very nice pic.

No Matt it's been talked about previously on the forum and I think Trent bravely flaunted the french laws by posting, and I'm still waiting for them to arrest him
obzelite - love the lighting and the angle, I don't mine the jet trail, but the lights on the base, the normal lights kind of detract for me..

Ah ha, case solv-ed.
And I think the jet trails are in fact the lights at the top of the tower.

I think the picture is wonderful, and I agree that the lights do look a bit like a jet trail, but personally I dont mind them.

The lights at the top are the beacons that rotate on the top. I have some others on a longer exposure where you can see the beams in an arc.
And somehow, possibly just under french law, photos taken at night in paris that include the tower are subject to copyright from the owners of the tower.
That could be why 95% of the postcards feature the tower during tha day, and night postcards cost 5 times as much as day shots.

Gorgeous. A cliche for sure, but a very nice one.
