NSW Road Racing Championships at Oran Park

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Was saying to Geoff tonight that I'd post these, so here they are. :)

I was testing out the new D200 with the 70-200 VR at Oran Park last weekend; she sings. :D Most taken with group dynamic AF, still trying to get my head around all the AF options! Any comments appreciated, still trying to process all my pics. More here. :)

Trent, looking good there i like them all but #1 is a ripper, done well.

Trent - absolutely fantastic, although it looks like the driver of the RX7 is going to sleep over the ripple strip!

I am actually going to Oran Park for a drive day in early September driving Lotus', so hopefully will take some good photos - you have set a very good benchmark for me :D

Elan! He didn't say vintage racing :lol: I'll guess it is a Elise or Exige which many are keen on for track work. As the Rover engined ones lack a bit of straight line grunt, a lot are putting Honda or supercharged Honda motors, now those are quick.

Trent, I think all of these shots are good. The feeling that something extra is happening in #1 make it stand out as the pick, #2, #3 & #4 are sharp!

Chi: more reach is always good, but 200 mm is more than adequate if you pick your spot well, these are mostly shot at less than 200 mm.
