My first ever D200 shots!

After nearly 7 months of waiting, I finally have the D200 in my hands! .I ended up buying one from Photo Continental here in Brisbane.

As seems to be a bit of a tradition here on the forum, I am posting my first ever D200 shots! As some of you know, I'm mainly a nature photographer but I had a few hours to kill while visiting Sydney last week. What else would I photograph but the great 'coathanger' ?:D Sun was bright and there was a bit of mist/haze around.

These shots aren't technically brilliant and won't win any awards but they are from my D200, and that's all that matters. Whoo hoo!

Cheers

Michael

Congratulations on the new camera. I actually like the third shot with the boat coming into frame and the ”misty” look to right of frame :)

Brett,

I had read tons of brilliant reviews of the D200 and expected a lot from it. My first impressions are that it is simply stunning. Ergonomically, it feels so good when held, the screen is big and bright, buttons are big and easy to press. Heaps of features that will give me more choices and battery life, considering large files, is quite good.

I can't recommend the D200 highly enough. Nikon are on a winner with this baby

Cheers

Finch, the D200 digitutor keeps my shutter snapping needs under control.

One question, did you PP the shots or was it straight out of the camera?

Nito,

Only PP was removing a subtle flare in the clouds and a bit of Velvia Vision added (25%).

great timing on the 1st and 2nd shots, the d200 is fast and you must be having a great time with it

with the battery grip it looks meaner and bigger than the d2x so feel good that you have a big camera in your arsenal

Thanks, Wendell

Yeah, it really is fast and I've been mucking around with focus-tracking, etc, etc and loving it so far.

Cheers
