Went out shooting yesterday for the Whirlpool Photography Competition, the theme this month is "Urban Decay". Began to grow more comfortable shooting in the street as the morning went on and turned my attention to street photography. Although lines and colour make for interesting still life images; having a person in there adds a dynamic element to the photo IMO; more images in my Smugmug gallery. First real go at wondering the ghetto alleyways of Adelaide with a nice big camera dangling around my neck but a good experience (read: just paid the insurance premium on my camera kit).

C&C on the shots'd be great.

Indeed, first one is great!

Love the implications... Needs a title like "Against the Flow"

Yoink, hate making titles but think I might borrow that one for the Whirlpool comp

First image was a split second thing, about to leave that spot when I saw her approaching. Feet got a little chopped in my haste to get the shot.
