Took this early morning at Gulgong a few weeks ago, looking into the fog and the sun. Shooting into the sun can give good effects at times, Max

great mood however I find the couple of dust bunnies on the LHS distracting.

True enough! Alas, they have been demolished and cleansed thanks to Matt's expert tuition at the last mini meet! Max

Oooh, this I like... great atmosphere, be tempted to burn the bright items in the foreground maybe as they seem to take my eye to them, but terrific moody image...

Great places for this moody, atmospheric sort of photography...

Nice shot.
I would convert to mono and add some grain to add a bit more atmosphere.
I like it.

From surf to grave - this is a very good atmospheric shot Max. I would agree with Andrew on the reduction or even removal of the bright object in the lower half of the photo :)

Unfortunately it does happen Chris, some surfers go to the grave on monster waves, it is a dangerous sport, unlike most photography, although I would think being on assignment in Baghdad or Lebanon at the moment is not too safe a profession. Better had stop rambling. Will try the suggestion on foreground object, many thanks.

A different treatment of image, as suggested. Cloned out a few objects, painted over some others and then adjusted levels.
