Venomous snakes gave Willy the willies.

Was lucky enough to visit a snake keeper in Sydney a few days ago. Photographing them gave me a chance to test out my brown underwear.

Nicely done. The open mouth and glassy eye of the fourth one make it the pick for me.

I'm more than happy for others to provide me with images of snakes. I think I would want a 600mm with TC before I would feel comfortable photographing these creatures.

Looking at these, I've just tested my brown undies as well.
.... except mine were white.

Love the 4th one, but for some reason I get the feeling that it's a portrait photo on it's side.

Nice sharp shots. The last one of the lizard would have to be my pick. I think it's probably due to the tighter crop and the fact that it is not a snake. Not that I have anything against snakes, I just prefer the company of lizards.

the lizard is my pick also.

loses a bit though because the head detail is lost in the background.
all that pointy stuff on the lhs really looks nice.
wondering if a lower viewpoint wouldnt have made the lizard shot really special.

I like the lizard one alot, as well as the snake one just above it, although I'd be tempted to desaturate that bluey/green part in the left background a little more?

Thanks for the feedback on those shots guys. Challenging subjects to say the least. And most were taken with nothing between me and the snake but air and the camera (ie no glass)

Oooh, that first one gives me the shivers...

The one of the lizard is the pick of the litter for me though, the clarity and detail in the eye really grabs me...
