Went to Aroma Coffee @ The Rocks today, and only had two coffees!

Took quite a few pics though, and thought I'd have a go at some creative PP work for a change...

First shot to me looks over exposed. Im not keen on the treatment you used. second shot is a nice B&W im guessing at Governer Phillip Tower. Nice one.

Hmmm, the first seems too "high key"(?) for me, but I really like the second. Nice tones and the glimpse of the bridge gets me in...

Have just realised I didn't change the colourspace on the dancer - have updated the file on smugmug, you may need to refresh to see it.
Hopefully that helps with the vision ;)

Leon. I actually like the first one, it's got a faded 1960's transparency look about it. So if that was the look you were after, it's good. If that wasn't your goal, whoops...

I really like the second shot . Nice comp and the conversion works well too .The first one doesn't work for me .

Leon, number 2 is very good, I like it a lot.

The first one is almost there, maybe try desaturating by, say 50%, to enhance the aged look? Just a thought, but nice experiment.

A couple of options:

The original (on the left) from the NEF file, converted to JPG with no adjustment. And a further development with Greg's suggestion of less saturation (on the right).

I still like this pic, if only for two reasons: 1 - it's the 70-300G, 2 - it's something quite different for me.

Rather than start a new thread with other PP'd pics of similar style, I thought I'd show them here. As I said, I'm trying something I don't normally play with...

I like the B&W in the first grouping, and I really like 'standing guard' - I've had multiple goes at that statue in Martin Place and I think your crop is what I should have been going for all this time!

Nice capture on the escalators - Wynyard?
