Bel - satin steel

I took this morning, playing around with the D200 and the 50mm 1.4 as Bel was getting ready for work. I put the optikverve satin steel effect on this and played with levels somewhat. It is different I know - tell me what u really think though :)

Be interested on your opinions on this - I'm not entirely sure...My hard hat is on :)

Has Bel seen it?

I would not exactly call it flattering ;)

Hmmm - I'd try some noise reduction to smooth out the jaggy colour changes - otherwise it's good. A bit 'Dr. Who'

She saw it earlier on Scott.
I thought it had an arty feel to it, I don't think it's not flattering, and yes I've taken better photos of her. :)

Appreciate the honest reply though :)

Geoff,

If you were trying to do something different - you have achieved it. I'm not sure this image achieves much more than that though.

I don't like it, but it is good to see you are experimenting.

Cheers,

I like your shot, I am not up on all the technical jargon and the rights and wrongs of photography. To me a photo that makes me look at it and look at it is a photo worth having and showing

I will remember this photo for what reason I dont know, it has just struck a chord..

this is a much better pose for belle
and it's overexposed nature is good but i don't think the effect works in this instance
i would like to see the original image overexposed rather than treated in this manner

but cool effect anyway
