I needed to get out at lunch time even though it was raining
So I took myself down to Homebush bay to see what was there

from an old boat stuck in the mangroves

The last two are my faves. All great shots though.

In #3 I just love the way the path takes the eye through the image and also the way its lit up by the minimal light that there was...and love the perspective of the last one...

Nice shots. I prefer #1 & #4 and to me #2 would have looked better with more dof.
Cheers,

The last one is the strongest IMHO. Love the pattern you've sought. Well spotted firsty.

Nice shots Keith, they all appeal to me but the last one in particular with it's symetrical pattern.

firsty: figured that this was the spot you went for these.

I believe one of the wrecks is from a wwII anti submarine net barge.

Keith,

I'm with Mike on these. #3 is wonderful. Great colour, great composition.

Now this is my kind of photography. Up close and dirty! Love the old rusty bits.
No. 1 is interesting, but the foreground twigs would have fell over accidentaly if I had been there,
No.2 doesn't grab me as much. I would have maybe moved in a bit closer. Plenty of texture there.
No. 3 is strong and deeply saturated with the dark sky. Looks a tad dark on my screen, but still okay. I like it. :)
No. 4 is the sort of thing I like to do and see how long folk take to twig as to what it is. Very good pattern, light & texture there.

great.

#1 is nice - love the OOF twigs in the foreground giving the image depth - nice rust detail as well

#2 - Fantastic wood texture and nice focus - the rain drops make this image for me

#3 - intriguing pathway, I love the composition on this. Good exposure and saturation

#4 - Well spotted pattern, my eyes just go round and round in circles looking at it :)

Good stuff

My pick would be #3, too. Number 2 is the close 2nd. Not bad for a wide open lens ;) However, the bokeh looks a bit dodgy, did you use a filter?

Cheers
Steffen.
